SEO stands for search engine optimisation. SEO is the process of getting traffic from free, organic, editorial or natural search results on search engines.

Major search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo list primary search results, this is where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users.

All web designers are aware of the fact that ranking high on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) will bring more qualified traffic to the site and this traffic has a higher chance of converting.

Ranking higher on SERP’s compared to your competitors will make potential customers click on your link.
