On Sunday I went to BETA International, which is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 24th – 26th January. As we are a new Equestrian business we didn’t have time to apply for our own exhibit this year, but we wanted to visit the show anyway and get a feel for what goes on and connect with other Equestrian types.
Well, from the moment I got there I could tell it was going to be a fun experience! On arrival I was given a free goody bag that included some Lincoln Horse Bix, a pen, and a lip balm, which was a pleasant surprise! Everyone I spoke to was really friendly and I also met up with our lovely copy writer Alice. She specialises in equestrian copy writing, and also writes blogs for the equestrian style magazine Style Reins. Take a look at here latest blog post: Lovely Leather: One Amazing Dress, Three New Looks.
I enjoyed watching the fashion show with Alice, which was sponsored by Equi-Thème, and showcased clothing from Ekkia, Champion, Charles Owen/Airowear, Harry Hall, Horseware Ireland, House of Montar, Kastel Denmark, Kerbl, Toggi and Tredstep Ireland. The models definitely put their heart and soul into the dance moves, and I enjoyed the singing from the model at Kastel Denmark (even if it was in Danish and I had no clue what he was singing about!).
After a few hours at the show it was time for me to come home which I didn’t want to do, but I left feeling really excited at the thought of having our own exhibit next year and getting to spend a full three days meeting new people and making more connections in the Equestrian industry! Roll on 2017! 🙂
